InnoPet Mamut Dog Pram – Extra-Large Wagon for Big Dogs (Up to 50kg)

The InnoPet Mamut is built for larger dogs, bonded pairs, or dogs who simply like to stretch out in comfort.

With a maximum load of up to 50 kg, this is the most spacious model in the InnoPet range — ideal for Labradors, Border Collies, Staffies, or two smaller dogs who love to ride together.

Whether your dog is recovering from surgery, slowing down with age, or just needs a little support on longer outings, the Mamut makes adventures possible again — safely and comfortably.

Not sure if it's the right wagon for you? See our Advice and Guides section, or contact us for advice now!

Who Is the InnoPet Mamut Dog Pram For?

The Mamut is best suited to:

  • Large dogs up to 50 kg

  • Longer breeds who need extra cabin space

  • Dogs who struggle to turn in smaller strollers

  • Older large dogs who still enjoy outings

  • Dogs recovering from surgery

  • Two small-to-medium dogs riding together

If you’ve struggled to find a wagon big enough for your dog, the Mamut offers the space and strength many larger breeds need.

Key Features of the Mamut

  • Maximum load capacity: 50 kg

  • Strong steel frame for durability

  • Front and rear entry/exit points

  • Wheel diameter 6.5 inch front, 9.5 inch rear

  • Rear wheel brake system

  • Two internal safety leashes

  • Padded mat included

  • Mesh windows for ventilation and visibility

  • Water-resistant nylon fabric

  • Quick-fold mechanism

  • Reflective trim for low-light safety

  • Rear storage pocket

The front and rear openings are particularly helpful for larger dogs who find it difficult to turn around in enclosed spaces.

What Size Is the InnoPet Mamut?

The Mamut is the largest cabin model in the InnoPet range.

Product specifications:

  • Maximum load: 50 kg

  • Net weight: 10.3 kg

  • Internal cabin: L80 x W48 x H68 cm

  • Unfolded size: L102 x W68 x H100 cm

  • Folded size: L90 x W68 x H35 cm

  • Front wheels: 6.5inch

  • Rear wheels: 9.5inch

The generous 80 cm cabin length provides excellent space for long-bodied breeds or two smaller dogs riding side by side.

As always, cabin space matters more than weight alone. If you're unsure whether your dog will be comfortable, we’re happy to help you decide.

Mamut vs Other InnoPet Dog Wagons

Choose the Mamut if you want:

  • The highest weight capacity (50 kg)

  • A genuinely spacious interior

  • Room for large breeds or bonded pairs

  • Front and rear access points

  • A strong, durable frame

Consider smaller models if you need:

  • A lighter overall frame

  • Compact storage

  • Primarily single small-dog use

Good to know: while the Mamut handles pavements, parks and gentle off-road terrain well, it’s not designed for extreme trails or very rough ground.

My wife and I chose the Mamute Stroller, after Amazon failed to deliver our first choice which was half the price of this stroller.

I delayed reviewing the stroller until a running in period had lapsed. We have used the Stroller for nearly a month over a range of terrain, but mainly on town roads and pavements.

Our canine passenger is a fourteen and half year old Irish Terrier weight of 17 kg and is quite leggy when she lays down, so needs the extra length of the stroller. She suffers from a range of problems which slow her down. Over the last month, we generally walk a couple of miles each day, pushing her in the stroller on a return trip. It took a couple of weeks for her to settle into being in, and getting out, of the stroller. At first she was a little perturbed being pushed into a bumpy, slightly noisy, wobbly box. However she is now settled and willing to bark anybody she thinks is slowing our passage.

Taking her for a walk is an unknown quantity as she can cover over half a mile one day, then 100 metres the next day. Now we have the stroller, we have a choice of having to push her back home, or continue to the coffee shop at our destination.

Pushing the stroller is no problem on a rolled surface but a bit problematical on flags and cobbles where there are unevenly laid, where the either one or both pairs of front wheels get caught.

Other than the above, I have some praises and moans.

Praises !

Well ventilated and airy. We have not used the rain cover yet.

The rear entry is a useful as the passenger is facing the front of the stroller, so does not have to turn to the front.

The open panel at the front is useful as the passenger can stand, or sit, with head in the air.

There are three pockets on the rear cover, two take a water bottle, the third is big enough to hold a small bowl for water.

Mounted on the rear axel is a foot pedal that will lift the front of the stroller. Pressing down lifts the weight of the front wheels to aid passing up and over kerbs (curbs). A useful feature.

At the time of writing (2026 July ) the warranty can be extended to five years at no extra cost.

Moans !!

There is no pocket for the rain cover. The cover supplied is a thick clear plastic material, and I feel that trying to refold to suit the largest rear pocket could damage the cover or the pocket.

Better photos on the instruction sheet.
1)Mounting the front wheel assemblies is unclear as to which is top or bottom of the assemblies. We quickly found out that putting the wheel assembly upside down is probmatical as there is no obvious way to unmount them without a struggle.
2) Removing the front wheel assemblies to shorten the stroller for putting in a car boot, needs parallel jaw pliers, or two screwdrivers to compress the lugs. The standard pliers jaw length does not allow a good grip. Two flat bladed screwdrivers provided a solution.

The clasp on the side of the stroller used to hold the framework closed is useless , because it springs open at the slightest movement. Correctly fitting the clasp in a suitable position, or the addition of a ring on top of the clasp pin, could resolve the problem.

Final Thoughts.

Would I buy one again? Yes, although I would be tempted to hire before buying.

Delivery was next day.

The stroller is advertised as suitable for a weight up to fifty kg, I would suggest hiring before buying if you are considering buying this stroller, or any other, if the weight of the passenger I over twenty kg.

Rgds.

Absolutely fabulous customer service. Abi was so friendly and super helpful giving advice about which would be the best stroller for our elderly spaniel. The stroller itself is very sturdy and easy to push - not tried at the beach yet but I’m confident this will be ok as tried out on the shingle in our garden. It’s going to be a life changer as means we can go on long walks again! Definitely recommend the stroller and K9 Wagons ☺️

K9 Wagons were extremely helpful and advised me to the appropriate dog buggy for my 13 year old labrador. Their website is easy to navigate and supplies the necessary information needed before you decide which buggy you require. The try before you buy is a really useful option, to check you are making the right choice. My email request was answered promptly and Abi sent a video to show how to put the buggy together. It could not have been easier. Thank you for allowing me to get out with my dog for longer walks.

I called k9 wagons for a chat with a very lovely lady about purchasing a wagon for my 7 year old labrador who has numerous health issues. She was really helpful and offered us the 'try before you buy', but as it was, we decided to purchase one anyway. The wagon came within a few days and our boy took to it straight away. It's really helped him when he's tired on his walks and we're going to take it on holiday in August so he gets more time out and about. I would definitely recommend k9 wagons to anyone who has a dog with health issues. You can but cheaper dog prams, but the Innopet was really easy to put up, it's very sturdy and looks good too.

Order process was easy and Abi kept me informed of delivery and even the delivery time slot on the day. The Innopet Mamut is great for our needs, we have a 13 year old arthritic Labrador who is very weak on her back legs. The Mamut opens fully at the front to lift her in and out of the buggy, we hoped she would be able to get in herself (with assistance) through the entrance at the back but she really struggles so it is just easier to lift her in. We have had several outings in the buggy and today went to our favourite local country park and it coped with the bumpy footpaths and across the meadow. Obviously it is not great off road but we knew that before we bought it and it copes with what we need it for. We like the ease of access at the front and that the canopy can be completely open, the hood half open or the canopy fully closed/zipped with the 'sunroof' open.
