It’s designed to instantly seal small tread-area punctures — helping reduce the risk of flats while you’re out walking or cycling.

How Does Slime Tyre Sealant Work?

Slime coats the inside of the tyre (or inner tube) in the tread area.

If a puncture occurs:

1. Escaping air carries the sealant to the hole.

2. The liquid portion exits first.

3. Fibres and rubber particles bind together.

4. A flexible plug forms inside the puncture.

This seals small holes in the tread area quickly — helping prevent air loss and keeping you moving.

It works automatically while you ride or push — no stopping required.

Does Slime Harden Inside the Tyre?

No.

Slime remains liquid inside the tyre for up to 2 years.

It acts as a delivery system for fibres and rubber particles. When air escapes through a puncture, the liquid carries the sealing materials into the hole, where they interlock and create a flexible seal.

It does not solidify inside the tyre during normal use.

How Long Does Slime Last?

For maximum puncture protection, Slime should be replaced after approximately 2 years.

In most cases, this aligns with normal tyre or tube replacement due to wear and tear.

Is It Worth Adding?

Anti-puncture sealant is particularly useful if you:

• Walk on gravel or rough parkland

• Use your wagon off-road

• Cycle with a bike trailer

• Want added reassurance on longer outings
